Dreamworld/Halloween!

YAY! We went to dreamworld on Hallowen & dressed up. The best part about it was...we saw people with the same clothes on--but as normal clothes! It was great! I got these huge blue earrings to wear, but after a few rides one got torn off & was never found :( Other than that, I believe the outfits say it all! We had a great time!

After getting back to went to the bar downstairs (we were the only people there...) Then about 10 more girls showed up & it was a great time! We had a dance party. I am totally making fun of the "Katie dance" because that's all the moves she knows. She claims she knows more, but I have yet to see them! (In our group picture--I have no idea what face I am making--but it turned out being a "silly" face anyway).

At dreamworld we went on the "Giant Drop" which is the HIGHEST IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! It was way scary! They take you up there & just sit you at the top for at least 20 seconds (we counted from the ground so we know this is an accurate number) We also took pictures of the crocodile status because it looked way fun.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary...

These are all the other random animals we saw throughout the day. We saw more dingo – they were howling & Kerry and Katie were upset by this. Later on we read that is how they communicate! We then go on to see the Tasmanian devils. It said on multiple signs telling us how there are no Tasmanian devils in the wild & they weren’t in any of the displays. KERRY WAS MAD! HAHA! I thought she was going to kill somebody because she was really looking forward to seeing these guys! While waiting for our behind the scenes tour was saw another display of them where they did have one in there. Kerry also got quite excited about the wombats…they were interesting to look at. After wondering through the zoo we also crocodiles. We saw the feeding of a 30 foot crocodile & held a baby croc. While holding the baby croc she told us to hold the jaw (but its mouth was taped shut). I was a little freaked out…she told us if the baby croc got upset it could snap back and break out jaw! YIKES!

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary...BIRDS!

There were so many birds throughout the entire sanctuary. We went to the bird show as well as held different birds with our behind the scenes show. We also saw a peacock chasing a turkey all over. It was hilarious! At the end of the day you could feed the Lorikeets. Cortney and I did (while Kerry & Katie watched us look like idiots!) We held out little dishes for them to feed on (it was close to hummingbird food). They swarmed everyone. At one point, Corntey and I had 4 or 5 birds on our dishes and some on our heads! It was a great time! This was the fourth experience of the day while the birds thought it would be a good idea to pee on my head b/c they drank too much food. Let's just say, I wanted to shower immediately after I got home!

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary...Koala Bears

Oh the koalas…They were adorable! They were the first group of animals we saw and they were all cuddled up on the trees & just hanging out. We found one that was actually awake & eating. I was holding the koala for my picture & he decided to poop on my hand. That was number three in the poop/pee experience of the day…it was a great day at Currumbin! Needless to say, they were as cute as can be and they were probably my favorite of the day!

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary...KANGAROOS

The Kangaroos were AWESOME! They were all around and you could walk right up to them. One little joey (a baby kangaroo) got away from its mother and the "zoo keeper" was chasing it around. It was so cute because it wanted to be out on its own. We took multiple pictures of them & got to lay on the ground with them too. They were soft as can be & hilarious! Every once in a while we would see a joey going into thier mother's pouch! I LOVE KANAGROOS!

After leaving the kangaroos and heading back to the entrance I was in the range of a giant emu who thought it needed to poop & it came out as diarrhea. That was number two of the day...don't worry, it gets better!

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary...The flowers & snakes

We finally made it to Currumbin (somewhat like a zoo back home) to see all the Australian animals. To start off, the flowers there were beautiful. All over the sanctuary there were flowers & Katie kept telling us all these random facts (she works in a flower shop back home). They were all over and gorgeous! This doesn't quite fit with the flowers, but we got to hold different animals. This shows the snake I held. I'm not sure what made me think that would be a good idea, but I did it.

This day was filled with interesting "poop/pee" experiences. I know, this sounds quite nasty (and it was) but you'll laugh...At lunch I was showing Kerry how to open the odd tomato sauce packets & there was a giant "puddle" of bird poop on our table. Right as I opened the tomato sauce my hand went right into the bird poop. This was experience number 1 for the day...
